If you haven’t been to the gym in a week, your coaches and fellow classmates will inevitably text you or Facebook stalk you to see if you are okay and get you back to the gym. This is the strong community we always rave about at CrossFit Hutt Valley. There is a certain level of accountability that comes with signing up for class ahead of time. We know that consistency is the key to making progress and that the accountability of group classes drives that consistency!

Expands your social circle

Your fellow IGNITE™ members are people that you can share your day with. They aren’t your work colleagues, they aren’t your immediate family, they are friends outside of your normal social circles. These are people that you can let loose with, joke with, and bond with over an intense workout. Aren’t ready to go home after the workout? Many of you will have heard of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) by now. In a 2016 study, researchers from Harvard Medical School and the National Institutes of Health found whether or not a woman did muscle-strengthening exercises indicated a lot about her health. Compared with women who avoided it, those who did any amount of strength training were more likely to have a lower body mass index and a healthier diet and less likely to be a current smoker.
